The ship is now a thriving new home, draped in corals and swarming with fish. We saw giant groupers peeking from inside the cargo hold, and schools of fusiliers hiding in the superstructure. The feeling of swimming next to this silent, ghostly structure is hard to describe—haunting, beautiful, and humbling at the same time. It truly is a piece of history on the seabed.
